ABBOTTABAD:After the announcement of the Cantt Board local government election which would be held on 9th September, the expected candidates for Cantonment Board Abbottabad and Havelian have started their campaign.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced the schedule of Local bodies election 2021 of Cantonment Boards a couple of days ago.

Like other parts of the country, the Cantonment Board’s local government elections would be held in two cities of Hazara division including Abbottabad and Havelian where candidates have started political activities by attending funeral prayers, marriage ceremonies and other activities to show their presence and get the support of their voters.

More than 35 candidates including PTI, PML-N, PPP and JI support have started campaign for 10 wards of Cantonment Board Abbottabad while 6 candidates for 2 wards of Havelian Cantonment Board officially. The candidates were also organizing corner meetings and door-to-door campaigns, besides strengthening social bonds with their voters.

According to ECP schedule, the LG elections would be held in 43 cities including Abbottabad, Attock, Bahawalpur, Bannu, Chaklala, Cherat, Clifton, Dera Ismail Khan, Faisal, Gujranwala, Havelian, Hyderabad, Jhelum, Kamra, Karachi, Kharian, Kohat, Korangi, Lahore, Loralai, Mangla, Mardan, Multan, Murree, Malir, Manora, Nowshera, Okara, Pano Aqil, Peshawar, Quetta, Rawalpindi, Risalpur, Sanjwal, Sargodha, Shorkot, Sialkot, Taxila, Wah, Walton and Zhob cantonment of Pakistan on 09 September, 2021.
