RAWALPINDI:Commissioner satisfied with anti dengue measures Acting Commissioner Talat Mehmood Gondal Friday expressed satisfaction over anti-dengue activities being carried out by government departments in Rawalpindi.
Chairing a meeting to review anti-dengue arrangements ,he said though prevailing weather has low chance of dengue spread, dengue control activities and surveillance should be carried out in graveyards, junkyards and under construction sites.
He said only 266 cases were reported this year which is very low compared with previous years while only 17 patients were reported from cantonment areas and 57 from Municipal areas.
He said nothing is more precious than human life, and zero tolerance would be shown in dengue control activities.
Talat said that district governments as well as provincial departments were regularly monitoring anti-dengue activities to ensure effective control of dengue.
He said since the government is providing maximum resources and facilitating the departments therefore, no negligence by any department would be allowed. He said the provincial government is fully active and closely watching the performance of all stakeholders.
