DPO lauds DRCs for resolving 696 disputes
PESHAWAR:District Police Officer (DPO) Imran Khan on Monday appreciated the performance of Dispute Resolution Councils (DRCs) for successfully resolving 696 disputes through negotiations this year.
In a statement, he said that role of DRCs members in maintaining law and order is commendable as it resolved disputes amicably.
He said that DRC is the best form for providing easy and affordable justice to the people.
The issues resolved were related to land, monetary, family dispute and various other matters.
The DPO said that DRC is a part of our culture and urged the need for further improving its efficiency.
“The DRCs is working like a Jirga system and playing key role in resolving disputes,” he said.
He lauded efforts of DRCs members in ensuring prompt delivery of justice to people, adding, they would continue to play their role in maintaining law and order in the society.
