Attock:An armed man shot killed former MPA and PPP leader Malik Shahan Hakmeen Khan on Wednesday over unknown reasons in Attock, police said.

Malik Shahan- who is the son of veteran and founder leader of Pakistan Peoples Party Malik Hakmeen Khan when arrived at Sheebagh area to offer Janaza of his supporter Iqbal Hussain Shah where an armed man opened indiscriminate firing at him.

He received bullets at his head.

He was taken to district headquarters hospital Attock but succumbed to injuries.

The attackers managed to flee away from the scene.

Police sources said that Sahan was shot killed by a man identified as Sher Dil who is nephew of his step brother Asif.

Police have registered a case and started investigations.
