BAHAWALPUR:On the directives of Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Bazdar, Deputy Commissioner Irfan Ali Kathia said that all the concerned departments must play active part in the success of the ”Khidmat Apki Dehleez Per” programme.

Maximum trees should be planted during the Green Week (two trees per human being) from July 12 to 18.

He expressed these views during a meeting held in the committee room.

Director-General Parks and Horticulture Authority Bahawalpur Samira Rabbani, CEO Education Zahoor Chauhan, CEO Health Dr Muhammad Iqbal Makwal, Assistant Director Environment Ansar Abbas and officers of other concerned departments were attended the meeting.

Deputy Commissioner said that more plants should be planted in schools, colleges, health centres, city squares, green belts and other places.

He also mentioned that the Parks and Horticulture Authority Bahawalpur would organize the green week from July 12 to July 18. More than 8,000 evergreen plants will be planted under the drive.
