Jamia tul Uloom- il-Islamia delegation visits KU

KARACHI:University of Karachi Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Khalid Mahmood Iraqi Wednesday said that universities play a key role in identifying social issues as well as providing solutions to those problems.

Talking to an 18-member delegation of Jamia-tul-Uloom-il-Islamia from Mansoorah Hala, District Matiari, Sindh at VC Secretariat, KU VC said universities also shapes individual’s character and provides them with new perspectives so they could have better plans and could be able to achieve their goals,also universities were a true reflection of society, the direct effect of society was also visible there,according to a news release.

He advised the students that they should set goals in life and must have the ability to complete the task with confidence,good command over communication skills and must know about use of latest tools and technologies.

“If you do not know purpose of your life then your confidence will also shake while taking any decision or even talking to other people,” said Professor Dr Khalid Iraqi.

He insisted that we should become practical Muslims as it was essential for success in this world and the hereafter.

He shared that justice could not prevail in a society without accountability and it should be done without any discrimination. A society that uses different scales to deliver justice could never prosper.

Earlier, the delegation met Dean Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Professor Dr Nasreen Aslam Shah.

During the meeting, the delegation was briefed about the ongoing teaching and research activities at University of Karachi, especially in Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.

Later, the delegation visited various departments of the varsity.The delegation would visit various universities and other institutions in Karachi during its three-day educational visit.
