ISLAMABAD:Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan Thursday said that Pakistan would play its role for restoration of peace in Afghanistan.
Replying on a point of order in the National Assembly, the minister said that the national institutions and armed forces were ready to counter the situation after withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan.
Ali Muhammad said Prime Minister Imran Khan had already given policy statement at the end of budget session over the matter, adding, “Afghani are our brothers and we are partner in peace and play our due role in this regard.”
The minister sought ruling and clarification from National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser regarding the honorarium which announced by Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin during budget session so that all the employees working during the budget session would be included.
He said the institutions including National Assembly, Senate, Associated Press of Pakistan Corporation (APPC), Pakistan Television (PTV), National Database Registration Authority (NADRA), Pakistan Railways, Bank, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), Dispensary, Police, the staff of Ministry of Finance, Special Branch, NTC and other staffers working here during the budget session.
Asad Qaiser said the honorarium which was announced by the Minister for Finance during the budget session for the government employees has been given.
