ISLAMABAD: The KSE100-index of Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) Monday witnessed bearish trend, losing 116.37 points, with a negative change of 0.24 percent, closing at 47, 447.08 points against 47, 563.45 points on the last working day.
A total of 474, 994, 829 shares were traded during the day compared to the trade of 505, 993, 802 shares the previous day whereas the price of shares stood at Rs14.322 billion against Rs15.374 billion the previous day.
As many as 412 companies transacted shares in the stock market, 136 of them recorded gain and 257 sustained losses whereas the share price of 19 companies remained unchanged.
The three top traded companies were WorldCall Telecom with a volume of 70, 991, 000 shares and price per share of Rs 3.85, Treet Corp with a volume of 63, 612, 000 and price per share of Rs61.40 and TLP Corp Ltd with volume of 27, 386, 000 and price per share of Rs19.67.
Pak Tobacco witnessed maximum increase of Rs45.44per share, closing at Rs1300 whereas Mehmood Tex was runner up, share prices of which increased by Rs40.90, closing at Rs587.90.
Nestle Pakistan recorded a maximum decrease of Rs215 per share, closing at Rs5875 followed by Sapphire Tex, the share prices of which decreased by Rs29.01 per share, closing at Rs909.99.
