Punjab govt taking measures for welfare of deserving people: Minister
FAISALABAD: Punjab Minister for Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal Mohammad Ajmal Wednesday said the provincial government was taking solid measures for the welfare of poor and deserving segment of the society.
He said that PTI government’s top most priority was to ease out the difficulties of common man.
He was addressing the poor segment of the society and shelter less people stayed at old-age home near Marzipura and Ghulam Mohammad Abad here. Director Social Welfare Shahid Rana, Director Khalid Bashir, Social Welfare Officer / Incharge Old Age home Zahida Naz were present on the occasion.
The minister went to different sections of the building and reviewed the facilities available for welfare of elder persons.
He also talked with elder persons and directed the officers to look after the inmates of the old age home properly.
He said, “Provision of food, clothes, treatment, security and other facilities is our responsibility”. He also directed for improving security arrangements.
Incharge Zahida Naz apprised the minister about the facilities being provided at the old age home. The facilities of TV, library and indoor games and medical are available, she added.
Later, the minister planted a sapling in the courtyard of old age home.
