BAHAWALPUR:A seminar on Road Safety was organized by Islamia University Bahawalpur (IUB) and National Highways and Motorways Police at Ghotvi Hall, Abbasia Campus.
Vice-Chancellor, IUB Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Chief Patrol Officer, Rana Muhammad Ismail, Admin Officer Mohammad Asim, Dean Faculty of Law Prof. Dr. Aftab Hussain Gillani, Chairman Department of Physiotherapy Prof. Dr. Asadullah Madni and Advisor Social Welfare Society Dr. Asif Ranjha participated in the seminar. Dr. Athar Mahboob while addressing the seminar said, National Highways and Motorways Police is rendering unparalleled services to make the journey safe and comfortable. People who travel on motorways are treated politely.
Chief Patrol Officer said, the first priority of his department is to train its staff and highlight their leadership skills to ensure safe travel on the roads. Awareness seminars are being organized in all the universities. Dr. Asif Ranjha while addressing the gathering said, another seminar on road safety will be organized at the Baghdad-ul-Jadeed Campus. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Islamia University Bahawalpur and National Highways and Motorways Police was also signed on the occasion.
