Multan: The 5th convocation of Nishtar Medical University was held on Wednesday at the Nishtar Quadrangle wherein graduating students were awarded with degrees and medals.
It was presided over by NMU VC Professor Dr. Mehnaz Khakwani. Out of 656 graduates, 337 attended the event along with their parents.
Zohaib Ahmed from the 2023 session received the highest number of gold medals-7 in total. In all, 56 medals were awarded to various students for academic excellence.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Mehnaz Khakwani, Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University of Health Sciences Lahore Professor Dr. Nadia Naseem, Registrar Professor Dr. Ahmer Hussain, and others congratulated the graduating students. They particularly praised those students who had demonstrated outstanding performance and brought pride to their alma mater. The speakers emphasized that these graduates represent the bright future of the nation and will carry forward the name of Nishtar Medical University with distinction.
The ceremony began with Professor Dr. Ahmer Hussain entering the venue carrying the ceremonial mace, accompanied by Dr. Masood-ul-Roof Haraj and other senior faculty members.
