MIRPUR [AJK]: Chairman Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organization Azmi Abdul Hameed on Friday called on Azad Jammu and Kashmir President Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry at Jammu Kashmir House in the federal metropolis and discussed in detail the issues of mutual concern and strengthening cultural and educational links between Malaysia and AJK.

Speaking on the occasion the AJK president lauded the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) for reiterating its renewed solidarity and support to Kashmiris’ legitimate struggle for right to self-determination, a press release issued by AJK President office said.

The president also thanked the OIC for providing him an opportunity to represent his people during the historic summit held in Islamabad.

On the occasion, the MCCIO Chairman condemned the atrocities committed in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir by Indian forces.

He also approved linking cultural and educational programs between Azad Kashmir and Malaysia.

The visiting Malaysian leader invited President Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry to visit Malaysia.

The president accepted the invitation and the date of his visit to Malaysia will be announced soon.
