FAISALABAD: The police registered cases against 13 persons for resorting to aerial fire during the last 24 hours. Police said on Sunday that Nauman Shah, resident of Chak No.100-JB arranged a Mehndi (henna) function in connection with his wedding ceremony where a guest Mujahid in police uniform along with his accomplices resorted to aerial fire in jubilation. When the police team reached, the accused managed to escape from the scene. However, the police registered a case against 11 accused including Mujahid, groom Nauman Shah, his brother Azeem Shah and Bilal, etc. and conducting raids to arrest the accused. Similarly, Kotwali police registered a case against Asif and his brother Abdul Ali for shooting in the air that created panic among shopkeepers in Bhowana Bazaars. Further investigation was underway.
