13 revenue officials booked over misappropriation

FAISALABAD: The Anti-Corruption Established has registered a corruption case against 13 former registry Muharrars of the land record centre of the Revenue Department on charge of misappropriation in the official record.

A spokesman for the Anti-Corruption establishment said on Wednesday that Deputy Commissioner Salman Ghani had received a number of complaints against misappropriation in the land registry record and an inquiry was conducted in which 13 registry Muharrars were found guilty of embezzlement in 7,000 registries.

The Anti-Corruption Establishment has registered a case against 13 revenue officials, including Shahid Abbas, Rana Mohammad Idrees, Liaqat Ali, Mohammad Ameen, Mohammad Rafi, Amir Raza Kazmi, Haidar Ali, Khadim Hussain, Mian Mohammad Akram, Zahid Majeed, Akmal Shah, Javaid Iqbal and Azhar Iftikhar.
