30 lawbreakers including 22 gamblers netted

RAWALPINDI: Police in their ongoing drive against anti-social elements have arrested 30 lawbreakers including 22 gamblers besides recovering 2255 grams charras, 13 liter liquor, seven rounds 30 bore pistol, fireworks items, Rs 84450 cash stake money, 15 mobile phones and other items from their possession. According to a police spokesman, Sadiqabad police netted Majid for having 1055 grams charras while Raziq on recovery of 1200 grams charras. Saddar Wah police held Allah Ditta for carrying six liter liquor and Nasir with seven liter liquor.

Other accused were sent behind the bars on recovery of fireworks items, seven rounds of 30 bore pistol, 200 kites and five kite flying string rolls.

Meanwhile, Rattamral police acting on a tip-off conducted a raid in Dhoke Ratta area and arrested nine gamblers, namely Manzoor, Amad, Khurram, Sajawal, Fazal, Shahbaz, Khurram Shahzad, Imran and Shafique. Police also recovered Rs54950 cash stake money, nine mobile phones, laptop and other items from their possession.

Pirwadhai police also raided in Pirwadhai bus stand area and rounded up, Zaman, Bashir, Aslam, Inam and Lal Mohammad and recovered Rs8000 cash stake money, a mobile phone and other items while Race Course police conducted a raid in Dhoke Syedan area and nabbed Azhar, Shoaib, Ibrar, Arshad, Azeem, Ahmed, Zahid and Zameer, eight gamblers. Police also recovered Rs21,5000 cash stake money and five mobile phones.
