This is in accordance with the vision of the present government of making our beloved country according to the principles of Riasat-e-Madina.
Prof. Dr. Qibla Ayaz, Chairman Islamic Ideology Council was the chief guest while Engr. Prof. Dr. Aamir Ijaz, Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur presided the closing session.
The Vice-Chancellor said that Islam is the religion that lays out a way of life-based on moral values and relations among people in the family, community and the world. Learning about his teachings and life is called Seerah. It does not mean just reading a book; it involves contemplating, reflecting, and deriving lessons from it and applying those lessons in our lives. It requires developing a spiritual relationship and a bonding with Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
It is important to learn Seerah because our beloved Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) is the best role model to follow.
Prof. Dr. Qibla Ayaz said that we can learn a lot from the Prophet’s life, and apply those lessons in our own lives. For example, he would introduce himself first whenever he met new people; he used to say Salam, and greet them very politely. Another lesson that we can learn from the Seerah is that of patience.
He (PBUH) showed us that the best way to lead one’s life was to strike a balance between Deen and Dunya. Our Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) is the only man in the history of mankind whose life has been documented in absolute detail. We know the way he ate, drank, greeted people, dressed, etc. Even the simplest of things about Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) are well-recorded. Quite obviously, the Seerah of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) is reliable and trustworthy beyond compare. The speakers said that we need to revive the glory of our Ummah by educating ourselves and our family and friends about the Seerah of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and applying the lessons learned in our lives.
He thanked delegates from the country and abroad for participating in the event.
