ACE files case against five officials of health department

SARGODHA: The Anti-Corruption Police have reigstered a case against five employees of health department over corruption charges.

Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) authorities said on Wednesday that complainant Abdul Rehman s/o Sher Mohammad resident of Wandhi Ghundwali Tehsil Piplan said in his application to the Director ACE Asim Raza that health department gave tender worth Rs. 1 million for publicity and advertisements of THQ Piplan and Esa Khel Tehsils but the accused Faisal Hameed (Clerk), Ehsan Ullah (Clerk), Mohsin Raza (Accounts Clerk), Abdul Nasir (Clerk) and Atta Mohammad (Accountant) had embezzled Rs. 1 million by withdrawing the amount from the treasury by taking bogus bills from fake advertisement firms.

On the report of inquiry officer Asmat Ullah Niazi the Director ACE has ordered for registration of case against the said accused and assigned further inquiry to Assistant Director ACE Khushab.
