BAHAWALPUR:Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mohammad Ayub Khan has said anti-polio drops will be administered to 190,518 children during a five-day anti-polio campaign being started from November 12 to 16.
He urged parents to cooperate with polio teams and must administer anti-polio drops to their children during the drive, adding that the achievement of 100 per cent polio vaccination target in all union councils of the Bahawalpur Division will be ensured.
Presiding over a meeting at his office, the deputy commissioner said that anti-polio vaccination teams need to work with dedication and national zeal for the success of the campaign.
As many as 126,153 children would be administered anti-polio vaccines in Bahawalpur City, 21,347 in Bahawalpur Sadar and 42,018 in Ahmed Pur East. As many as 479 teams including 326 mobile teams, 74 fixed teams and 79 transit teams will perform duties.
Around 84 Area In-charges, three tehsil supervisors and 35 Union Council Medical Officers will supervise the campaign.
