HAVELIAN: Advisor to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtnkhwa for Industries Abdul Kareem has said that KPK government is establishing Small Industrial Estates in the province to eliminate poverty and bring the backward areas into the mainstream.
He was expressed these views by while addressing the allotment letters handing over ceremony of Abbottabad Small Industrial Estate (ASIE) Phase II at Havelian.
He further said that the KP government is establishing more industrial estates to promote cottage industry, Havelian small industrial estate would play its role in the promotion of the cottage industry of Hazara division.
He said small industrial estates Peshawar, Bannu, Sawat, Swabi Lower, Bajur, North Waziristan and Khyber districts are under process, adding that PTI government is committed to providing employment opportunity to the people and they have introduced the new industrial policy in this regard.
Abdul Kareem stated that ASIE would play its role in the development of marble and granite industries while another small industrial in Hazra division is under consideration which would be established under public-private partnership.
He disclosed that for the first time government would start without an interest loan scheme in newly merged tribal districts of KPK, we have also inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Akhawat Foundation, now applicants can get up to 75000 interest-free loans.
At the occasion, the advisor also admired the role of the Small Industrial Development Board (SIDB) and said that its working has improved and now they are planning for more industrial zones and businesses in the province.
Later while talking to the media Vice President Federal Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FPISC) Haji Iftikhar assured the provincial government of their support to make AIE phase II successful.
