BAHAWALPUR:The office-bearers of Bahawalpur Chambers of Commerce and Industry held a meeting with federal minister for Quality Education, Eng. Balighur Rehman and discussed with him the issues being faced by business community.
Delegation of Bahawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry headed by their president, Mohammad Aijaz Nazim and other members including Hafiz Jawad Hasan, Omair Saleem, Dr. Rana Mohammad Tariq Khan, Javed Iqbal Chaudhary and Haji Abdul Majeed met with the federal minister.
The delegation informed the minister that project of establishment of an industrial estate in Bahawalpur was not being executed since long and added that such delay was affecting process of development in the region.
The trader leaders said that establishment of industrial estate would help in resolving issue of unemployment. Unemployment causes spread of crime, they contended.
The minister told the delegation that he had dispatched a letter to Chief Minister Punjab, urging him to take immediate steps for establishment of industrial estate in Bahawalpur. He said that problems being confronted by business community would be resolved on priority basis.
