Benazir murder case: LHC adjourns hearing of suspects appeal against detention orders

RAWALPINDI: The Lahore High Court Rawalpindi Bench Tuesday adjourned the hearing of an appeal of suspects involved in the murder of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto against their detention orders till October 19 as the deputy commissioner did not appear before the court.

The LHC during its last hearing had summoned the Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Three of the five accused – Rafaqat Hussain, Sher Zaman and Husnain Gul, who had been acquitted in the Benazir Bhutto murder case by the anti-terrorist court, have challenged their detention in the LHC.

The Pakistan Peoples Party has also filed an appeal in LHC against the acquittal of the accused.
