RAWALPINDI: Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) in collaboration with Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICSS) on Wednesday organized a certificate distribution ceremony.
Prof. Dr. Samina Amin Qadir, Vice Chancellor (VC) FJWU, Prof. Dr. Samina Amin Qadir, Director General PICSS, General Mohammad Saad Khatak and Managing Director (MD) PICSS Abdullah Khan were the chief guests.
A group of FJWU students of Defense and Diplomatic Studies had completed internship at PICSS which conducts field researches, advocacy programs, seminars, workshops and in house discussion on various issues related to conflict and security.
For completion of a degree at FJWU, internship is mandatory. Placement office FJWU deals with the university policy and helps the students secure internships at various organizations related to their field of education. This summer students have completed their internship at renowned multinational, national and international organizations.
The chief guest distributed certificates among the students who successfully completed their internships. Mohammad Saad Khatak appreciated the students performance during internship period.
The VC explained the importance of industry and academia linkage and informed that FJWU is specially focusing in this area.
