Computerized tax recovery system to ensure transparency: DC

MARDAN: Deputy Commissioner Dr. Imran Hamid Sheikh has said that tax recovery system has been computerized to ensure transparency, modernity and efficacy.

Addressing the Revenue Officers and Patwaris at Tehsildaar Office, he said that computerization of the system would be farmer friendly and decrease burden on the employees of Revenue department.

Deputy Commissioner said lists of tax payers have been compiled and would be uploaded on the system, adding that details of the outstanding would also be available on the websites.

He said that the newly introduced system would benefit the farmers enabling them to pay their taxes through banks. He said that decision has been taken to further facilitate the farmers adding that related Tehsildaar would address their appeals regarding tax.

He also urged Patwaris to discharge professional obligations with honesty keeping in view their importance in the hierarchy of revenue system.
