RAWALPINDI: District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) a civil hospital being the oldest hospital in the city requires extension of its building and increase of Doctors and para medical staff with increasing number of patients.
Talking to reporter Medical Superintendent DHQ Hospital Dr. Khalid Randhawa said the hospital building had been renovated including OPD, new Emergency. This hospital caters to a large number of patients in the district.
There were total seven Operation Theatres in the hospital and the equipment also needs to be refurbished. The project of hospital’s extension worth 207 million rupees and PC-1 of the project had been sent to the Punjab Government.
He said expansion of the hospital was necessary to address health issues for the next 50-60 years as the number of patients visiting was on the rise.
