Dir police arrest criminals, recover 5000gm hashish, arms

LOWER DIR: The Timergarah police during its drive against anti-social elements have recovered 5000gm hashish and arms and ammunition and arrested wanted accused from different areas of the district.

Police said the DPO Lower Dir, Nowsher Khan had issued instructions for a strong action against anti-social elements to DSP Timergarah Sher Wali who along with SHO Jamiluddin recovered 5000 gm hashish, two pistols, two guns, a repeater and hundreds of cartridges during separate actions in the district. Cases against he involved accused have been registered at Timergarah police station.

The DSP Timergarah told media that Timergarah circle would be cleaned from anti-social elements adding action of police would continue till its logical end. Provision of security to the life and property of people was the responsibility of police and no negligence would be tolerated in this regard, he added.

He also asked the people to immediately inform police in case of any suspicious activity in their area to lend a helping hand to police in purging off crimes from the society.
