Food Dept services being extended to tribal districts: Food Minister

PESHAWAR:Provincial Minister for Food, Qalandar Lodhi here Wednesday said services of Food Department are being extended to tribal districts to provide better services to tribesmen at their doorsteps.

He expressed these views while addressing tribal jirga during his visit to Parachianar, headquarter of Kurram district. Projects related to establishment of office of DFC, Wheat storage and mechanism for controlling prices of food are being chalked.

The Minister said people of tribal districts will enjoy all those facilities being enjoyed by other districts of KP.

The minister said Govt will provide all necessary resources to tribesmen. Bringing improvement in the socio-economic conditions of tribal people is the top most priority of the Government and all their problems would be addressed on priority basis.

He said PTI Government would remove sense of deprivation of tribesmen and expedite pace of economic development here as per vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief Minister Mahmood Khan.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Afaz and Director Food Saadat Hassan were also present on the occasion.
