JHANG: Deputy Commissioner Mudassar Riaz Malik has said foolproof security will be provided to 240 processions and 150 Majalis in the district on Muharram 10.
He was talking to the journalists after visiting routes of different mourning processions here on Saturday.
He said that CCTV cameras would monitor routes of all sensitive processions while all entry points of processions will be sealed to ensure single entry point for participants of all processions and Majalis.
He said that Rescue staff and ambulances would accompany all processions.
The DC said 1,834 police officers and jawans would provide security to different processions while 433 officials would be present at sites of Majalis.
He said that Pakistan Army would remain present in the district to assist the civil administration. He added pillion riding would be banned on Ashura.
