HYDERABAD: The President Hyderabad chapter of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Hanif Siddiqi has alleged that Mayor Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (HMC) Syed Tayyab Hussain was an obstacle for release of Rs.10 billion federal development funds for Hyderabad.
Addressing a press conference at Hyderabad press club here on Thursday, Siddiqi said the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and later the incumbent PM Shahid Khaqan Abbassi had announced the development package for Hyderabad.
“The HMC was asked to submit development proposals for release of the federal funds. But so far they haven’t given any plan,” he claimed.
Demanding immediate resignation from the Mayor, he alleged that Hussain wanted to turn Hyderabad into ruins. Siddiqi went on to claim that by such delaying tactics a conspiracy was being made to create a bad impression about the PML-N’s central government among the people of Hyderabad. During the press conference, Siddiqi also announced names of the new office bearers of the PML-N Hyderabad.
