HCCI appeals for early completion of M-9 Motorway

HYDERABAD:The Senior Vice President Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI) Turab Ali Khoja has appealed to the federal government to complete the Motorway M-9 Project at the earliest so that the business community could get the safe passage of transportation of their export products from Hyderabad to Karachi Port.

In a statement on Monday, he said that M-9 Project was supposed to be inaugurated in the month of August, but the project has still not been completed by the authorities concerned causing great hardship to business community to carry out their activities.

He said that due to non completion of the project, the commuters particularly old age persons, women and children were experiencing great inconvenience while traveling on alternate shabby condition roads.

He also emphasized the need of maintaining standard with quality material while completing the project as according to him, defects were reported at some portions of the constructed areas of the motorway.
