Higher Educational institutes play key role in brandishing youth’s confidence: Governor

PESHAWAR: Reputed higher education institutions are playing key role in self-confidence and brandishing the

confidence of the youth, said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra here Monday.

Addressing 26th International History Conference at University of Peshawar, he said the role of

institutes of higher education in national building is imperative.

He said University of Peshawar is one of the oldest universities of Pakistan where national and

international students get complete their higher education, adding that the varsity had produced various scholars, scientists, doctors and experts in various fields.

He said the history department is one of the important departments where the new generations are

told about the past of various nations and the secrets of development.

The conference was attended by Vice Chancellor Peshawar University Dr Mohammad Asif Khan, Chairman

History Department Professor Dr Suleman Bangesh and international professors,VC of national varsities and students.

Meanwhile, the governor addressing the participants of 107th National Management Course said that tribal areas have rich natural resources and the government is taking all possible measures to explore and use these resources for the welfare of tribal people.

Additional Chief Secretary FATA briefed the participants about law and order situation in FATA and on-going development projects.
