IGP awards Shangla police for excellent performance

PESHAWAR: Inspector General Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Salahuddin Khan Mehsood Wednesday awarded officers and jawans of Shangla police for exhibiting excellent performance in investigating a blind murder case.

According to police, driver of a carry-van was strangulated by two passengers near Kaga Dand. The body of the driver was later dumped by the killers. Police after identifying the body arrested the accused with his accomplices from Hassanabdal. Mobile phone of the killed driver was also ecovered from the killers who confessed their crime before the court.

The IGP also appreciated the performance of joint investigating team in tracing out the murder case. He awarded Superintendent Police Investigation Shangla Khalid, Inspectors Shah Hussain and Sarzamin Shah, Sub Inspector Habib Said and Head Constable Zahir Mohammad with cash prizes and commendation certificates.
