RAWALPINDI: Lahore High Court(LHC)has rendered great services for supremacy of law and provision of speedy Justice is the top priority of Judiciary, said Chief Justice LHC Syed Mansoor Ali Shah here Tuesday.
Addressing a reception held at Rawalpindi Judicial Complex ,he said that reforms are being made in the judicial system and the model courts have decided 170 murder cases and 820 drug cases during the last four months.
“As the judicial system progresses it would become more strengthen”he added.
The chief justice said ,”It is our duty to decide the cases without any pressure or fear and the Honorable judges were striving for it.
He emphasized the need for better coordination among the different tiers of Judiciary to provide speedy Justice to the masses.
He said the hectic efforts are being made to reduce shelf life of cases to provide relief to the public by early dispensation of the cases.
He said the judicial system at district level has been upgraded on modern lines with the help of the IT department to ensure speedy justice.
Besides e courts , e library, the concept of efiling have also been introduced in the courts to streamline the court record and improve their performance.
A large number of District Judges of Rawalpindi and their families were also present on the occasion.
