MULTAN:An additional district and sessions judge granted interim pre-arrest bail to Mufti Abdul Qavi in Qandeel Baloch murder case, here Thursday.
Earlier in the day, Judicial Magistrate Mohammad Pervaiz Khan issued non-bailable arrest warrant of Mufti Abdul Qavi after police investigator Noor Akbar informed the court that the accused was not cooperating in the investigations into murder of social media celebrity. The magistrate expressed concerns that challan of the case has not been submitted despite the fact that over a year has passed since the incident of killing.
Upon issuance of warrant, Mufti Abdul Qavi moved the sessions court and was granted interim pre-arrest bail subject to furnishing bail bonds worth Rs 100,000.
The court also directed police to bring record of the case on October 17, the next date of hearing.
