Orientation Ceremony for newly admitted students held at PMAS-AAUR

RAWALPINDI: An orientation ceremony for the newly admitted students was held at the Pir Mehr Ali Shah, Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR), here on Wednesday.

The ceremony is a regular activity of the University, arranged for the newly-enrolled students to familiarize them with the University’s environment, its rules and regulations, so that students can sail smoothly while earning their degree and harvest optimal benefits out of available facilities.

Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Qamar Zaman, while welcoming the new entrants, congratulated them for becoming the part of this prestigious institution. He said that the University provided an environment that enabled its students to develop their academic & skills excellence and this institution endeavoured professionalism and demanded a sense of responsibility from its students.

Highlighting the University’s efforts for quality education, he said PMAS-AAUR had been striving to provide access to quality literature by facilitating the students with modern technologies.

The Vice Chancellor urged the post-graduate students to work hard and focus on research activities with an aim to lead the country towards progress and come up with innovative ideas which could later turn into businesses.

On the occasion, Director Advanced Studies Dr Muhammad Azam, Director Quality Enhancement Cell Dr. Riaz Amad, Dr. Student Affairs Dr. Ghulam Hussain Babar, Dean Faculty of Crop and Food Sciences, Dr. Fayyaz ul Hassan Sahi , Senior Tutor, Deans/ Directors of the Institutes / Divisions, Controller of Examination also addressed the students.
