PHA auctions 23 dilapidated bungalows at Nishterabad

PESHAWAR:Provincial Housing Authority (PHA), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Monday auctioned 23 dilapidated bungalows on the site of Nishtarabad Housing Scheme.

The Provincial Minister for Housing Dr. Amjad Ali has issued special directives for establishment of a committee to ensure transparency in the auction process and adherence to Corona preventive standard operating procedures (SOPs).

The auction was conducted in the presence of Directors PHA, Shehzada Behram, Azam Khan and Amir Zeb, Assistant Director (AD) Adil Saeed and Collector Land Acquisitionm Hamid Ali Gigiyani and other officials of the housing authority.

The auction was held in the presence of 96 bidders wherein, a Registered Bidder No.33 offered a bid of Rs. 20.650 million and clinched the auction. The administration of PHA has given a deadline of 45 days to the successful bidder for the completion of demolition and removal of debris from the site.

Construction work on Nishterabad Housing Scheme will begin after the removal of debris. Under the scheme Provincial Housing Authority (PHA) and Federal Government Housing Authority (FGHA) will construct high-rise flats on 36 kanal land at Nishterabab.
