MULTAN: Rescue 1122 has once again appealed to the public to avoid prank/unnecessary calls as out of 85,175 calls received during September 2017 only 3,882 were genuine emergency calls.
The citizens should cooperate and avoid making unnecessary calls to Rescue 1122, District Emergency Officer Dr Kaleemullah said in a press release issued here on Wednesday.
Dr Kaleem informed that Rescue 1122 responded to 3,882 emergencies in September in which it rescued 4,322 persons.The average response time remained seven minutes,he said.
He said that 1,530 traffic accidents,68 fire incidents, 105 of quarrel,and 1,871 medical emergencies which included heart attacks, respiratory and gynae issues.He stated that 4,322 persons were shifted to different hospitals.Similarly, 1,028 persons were given medical treatment by Rescue 1122.
Rescue 1122 official expressed concern over rising incidents of fire in the district.He urged citizens to follow fire safety measures in factories,shops and houses in order to avoid fire incidents.
