MULTAN: Chief Minister of Punjab (CM) Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday lashed out at Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Khan and said that metro have been built in Peshawar in 11 months if PML-N had formed government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He was speaking at the inauguration ceremony of Speedo Bus Service in Multan. “When metro bus service was inaugurated in Lahore, it did not go well with PTI and they begin criticizing it,” said Punjab CM.
He slammed Khan for wasting seven months of Pakistan’s development by staging sit-ins and protests. “Through the sit-ins Imran Khan gave proof that he is anti-Pakistan and its enemy,” pronounced Punjab CM.
“Imran Khan raised slogan of change but now the nation is repenting on why they voted for him,” he criticized.
On the occasion, Shehbaz Sharif also announced to start motorbike ambulance service and establishment of Girls College in Galla Mandi in Multan.
Earlier, Punjab CM asserted that the continuity of democratic system is imperative for development in the country.
In a statement, he said October 12 is remembered as black day in the history of the country when a dictator in 1999 derailed democracy and halted the process of development.
CM said PML-N government is striving hard for the development of the county.
