Reply sought from IG in safe city project case

RAWALPINDI: Justice Shahid Mubeen of Lahore High Court (LHC)Rawalpindi Bench on Wednesday asked the Inspector General Punjab Police to submit a reply till October 26 in a petition filed by Mujahid

Satti in connection with Safe city land project case.

According to details as hearing started, Commissioner Rawalpindi submitted his reply regarding the dispute.

The petitioner’s counsel Khurram Kaini talking to reporter said that his client inherited 20 kanal land which was adjacent to CPO office on which Police plans to construct a building for safe city project.

He said the land was transferred to his client grandmother in 1993 on Court orders but neither police is giving him occupation of land nor its price.

Earlier work on the said land had been stopped due to court case.
