Rs 77.3 mln to be spent on repair, maintenance of 11 roads

FAISALABAD: As many as 11 development projects of construction, repair and maintenance of roads costing Rs 77.3 million will be completed in rural areas of the district under the Punjab Government Development Programme.

Provincial highways spokesman said here Friday that departmental work had been initiated and the schemes are in tendering process. These projects will be completed within three months.

According to details, Rs 22.9 million will be spent on repair and maintenance of Buchiana to Bucheke Road in tehsil Jaranwala. Rs 12.9 million will be spent on Jaranwala-Syedwala Road to Pull Burhanwali Road, funds amounting to Rs 12.9 will be incurred on repair and maintenance of Mureedwala Mamoon Kanjan Road from Chak No 509-GB to 195-GB in Tehsil Tandlianwala.

Similarly, Rs 10 million will be spent on Sheikhupura Road from

Chak No 200-RB to Bypass Khurrianwala Road, Rs 6 million on Mamoon Kanjan Mureedwala Road to Chak No 508-GB, Rs 3.1 million on road from Chak No 547-GB to Tehsil Tandlianwala and Rs 1 million will be spent on repair and maintenance of road from Jiggar Chowk to Darbar Salah uddin via Darbar Habibullah.
