BAHAWALPUR: Provincial Minister for Cooperative Societies, Malik Mohammad Iqbal Channar has said that work on worth Rs 90.70 billion road projects was underway in Punjab that include 1943 schemes.
Talking to journalists here, he said that Punjab government allocated a sum of Rs 90.70 billion for improvement of road structure in the province. “The provincial government is going to start 1943 modern road network projects with a cost of Rs 45.34 billion,” he said.
He added that a sum of Rs 45.32 billion was being spent on 708 new schemes to bring improvement in road infrastructure. “A huge money is also be spent for bringing improvement in road infrastructure,” he said.
The minister said that completion of road projects would bring an revolution in financial sector of the country.
