Seminar on ‘Kashmir issue’ held

MUZAFFARABAD: Speakers at a seminar highlighted the importance of peace saying lofty goal of global peace cannot be achieved until and unless rights of weaker states were not safeguarded by United Nations and other world forums.

Seminar titled “The resolution of Kashmir issue was guarantee for sustainable Peace in South Asia” was held under the aegis of Kashmir Liberation Cell here on Thursday.

Addressing the participants of seminar Secretary Liberation Cell, Mohammad Idrees Abbasi said the illegal and forced occupation of India and atrocities of Indian occupied forces against Kashmiri people was a challenge for UN. He said the crises have jeopardized the peace in South Asian region.

He said the struggle of Kashmiri people for their right to self determination, which was in accordance with UN charter. He said that it is basic right of every nation to fight and safeguard its interests.

The seminar among others was attended by DG Information, Raja Azhar Iqbal, APHC leader, Syed Manzoor Hussain Shah and Uzair Ahmed Ghazali of PASBAN.
