Shahi Syed calls for APC on US policy shift

HYDERABAD: Awami National Party Sindh President Shahi Syed has asked the federal government to hold an all parties conference (APC) for preparing a consensus strategy to deal with the US policy shift in the wake of President Trump’s tweet.

Talking to the media here Sunday, Shahi Syed said from the platform of APC, a message should be conveyed to the US that Pakistan would not bow down to any threats.

He said the APC should also recommend guidelines for a new foreign policy.

The ANP leader called for accountability of all the 448 people whose names were mentioned in the Panama Papers leaks. Only former prime minister Nawaz Sharif had been tried, but who would hold them the rest 447 people accountable, he questioned.

He reiterated the ANP’s demand for immediate merger of Federally Administered Tribal Areas into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and called for announcement of a special development package for uplift of the tribal areas.

He predicted that the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf (PTI) would lose the next general election in the KP.
