HYDERABAD: Experts at a seminar have called upon the youth for taking entrepreneurship as career instead of running behind public sector employment.
Addressing the seminar titled “Business Arena 2019”, organized at Sindh University’s Khan Bahadur Syed Allahando Shah Campus Naushahro Feroze on Saturday, speaker further suggested that increase in entrepreneurship would generate jobs.
The Vice-Chancellor University of Sindh Prof. Dr. Fateh Mohammad Burfat in his presidential address said that the youth should not only get abreast of recent changes in business, but must also depart from outdated viewpoint of seeking public sector employment and ought to rather vigorously contemplate trying hands at entrepreneurship.
“Wealth as a prerequisite for small endeavors is no longer an obligation,” he said, adding that one can start a modest trade just by the help of a single laptop or computer via exercising online options; as is the popular practice nowadays with millions of people across the globe.
He said that the messages of Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai, Sachal Sarmat and Allama Iqbal were enough for eradicating intolerance and violence from the society but the thing which needed was conveying their progressive ideas included in their poetry to the people of the country.
Addressing the occasion senior politician Syed Zafar Ali Shah said that Madarsa High School Naushahro Feroze was established in 1893. This was the time when Naushahro Feroze was simply a hamlet.
He said Syed Allahando Shah kindled the light of modern education in those days in a bid to help youth move forward.
He on the occasion announced to give Rs. 0.2 million for purchase of books for the library of the campus. The Vice Chairman District Council Pir Qurban on behalf of District Council Naushahro Feroze also announced to donate a water filtration plant and Rs. 0.2 million for the library.
The Pro Vice-Chancellor of the campus Dr. Aslam Parvez Memon said that the purpose of the seminar was to orient and stimulate youth to adopt private enterprises.
At the juncture, prominent personality of the city Faqir Mohammad Memon, MPA Shahnaz Ansari and others also spoke, while the stalls featuring various entrepreneurship activities were also set up on the campus to invite the attention of the participants.
