SNGPL starts 8 inch pipeline project to overcome low pressure on Warsak Road

PESHAWAR:Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited (SNGPL) Tuesday started a new 8 inch diameter pipeline augmentation system project to overcome low pressure on Warsak road area of the city, said General Manager SNGPL Peshawar, Arbab Saqib.

He said that Peshawar city has now three major transmission feeds, one at start of city, one recently hooked up in last winter at system tail end and one at midpoint.

Economic zone has a dedicated 16 inch line recently commissioned that has increased the carrying capacity of economic zone by four times and completely overcome low pressure in industrial estate Hayatabad.

He said that there would be zero complaint in next winters to come at Peshawar He informed that construction of 12 inch additional line from Tarnab Peshawar city to Balahesar fort is completed but due to NOC issue from NHA it could not be commissioned.

GM Peshawar added that SNGPL has also proposed an additional transmission line to Charsadda Sherpao Tangi which is under consideration of SNGPL board.

He said that the Federal government and SNGPL is committed to provide best quality of services to its valued customers.

He also informed that as a result of continuous crackdown, line losses of Peshawar region witnessed a decrease of 2.2 BCF as compared to last year with almost four percent accumulative reduction.
