State Emergency Commission decides to establish ERF, extension of Rescue 11222 and to evolve Regularization process of employees in AJK:

MUZAFFARABAD: The State Emergency Commission(SEC) on Saturday held a Meeting in PM Secretariat chairing by Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider Khan decided to establish Emergency Relief Fund(ERF), extension of Rescue 1122 to other districts of AJK, to evolve Regularization process of employees in AJK besides to reconstitute a commission for the provision essential resources for conducting rescue operations during calamities and launching emergency relief activities.

The Commission Meeting was attended by cabinet members including Minister for Public Works Development(PWD)Chaudhry Mohammad Aziz Khan, Education Minister(schools) Barrister Syed Iftikhar Ghilani,Minister for SmallÂ

Industries Muhterma Noreen Arif, Minister for Civil Defense,AJK Chief Secretary Muthar Niaz Rana,Senior Member Board of Revenue Faiz Ali Abbassi, IGP Sallah u Deen Mehsoud, Secretary Finance Fareed Tarrar, Principal Secretary to PM AJK Irshad Qurashi,Secretary SDMA Shahid Muhidin Qadri, Commissioner Muzaffarabad Division Chaudhry Imtiaz and Commissioner Poonch Division Abdul Hameed Mughal.

The AJK Premier while addressing the Meeting highlighted the importance of Emergency services and said that it has vital role in tackling the calamities, natural disasters and sudden accidents.

He said that we are in a war like situation on LOC and the people face indiscriminate Indian firing and shelling in routine that causes physical and material damages and saying that Rescue departments have played a tremendous role in rescuing the lives of the people at LOC in recent Indian heavy firing and shelling.Â

He said the Government has decided to provide all possible resources for enhancing their capacity and potential on modern lines and said that we need to remain alert round the clock to meet unexpected challenges because of sensitive situation at LOC PM he added./
