Two government officials nabbed by NAB

Mirpur: Azad Jammu & Kashmir Accountability Bureau Wednesday arrested two government officials for allegedly indulging in corruption, it was officially said.

A team of AJK Ehtesab (Accountability) Bureau arrested Saqib Salim Program Manager in state-run AJK Rural Support Program for unlawfully drawing Rs 3.82 lacs from public exchequer through forgery, the Bureau sources told media. The Bureau has obtained judicial remand of the accused till October 17, according to the sources.

In another identical action, the Accountability Bureau team arrested Zulfiqar Ali, Private Secretary in Ushr and Zakat department in Kotli district on charges of receiving illegal gratification, the sources said adding the Bureau has obtained judicial remand of the accused till October 13, from the Accountability Court Mirpur.
