Two private schools fined

FAISALABAD: Private Schools Registration Authority has imposed a fine of Rs 20,000 per day on two private schools on the charge of increasing tuition fees by 25 percent.

A spokesman of Education Department said that during a meeting with

CEO Education Javaid Iqbal Chishti, it was observed that two major private schools of Faisalabad increased fees by almost 25 percent without any rule. The students and their parents protested strongly against this act.

PSRA imposed a fine of Rs 20,000 per day on each school and directed their management to pay this fine at least for 30 days.

If those schools would not pay the fine their cases would be referred to the court of first class Magistrate who will have the power to impose fine upto Rs 2 million, the spokesman added.
