USC provides 1.73 billion subsidies on food items: Bukhtiar Khattak

ABBOTTABAD: Utility Stores Corporation (USC) Pakistan on Monday has provided 1.73 billion rupees subsidy on different food items under Ramadan Package 2018, informed by the Zonal Manager USC Bukhtiar Khattak while talking to media at the warehouse. He said that USC is providing huge relief on food items including 20 KG flour bag with 150 rupees subsidy, Ghee 20 rupees per KG, Sugar 5 rupees per KG, pulses, dates 10 rupees per KG at all USC stores all across Pakistan.

Replying to a question zonal manager said that despite the delayed arrival of stock in Hazara region during the holy month of Ramadan our sales break all previous records while the complete figures would be given to media after Eid-ul-Fitr.

Area Manager USC Barge Hina at the occasion told to media that provision of quality food items and best services to the customers is our top priority, we have ample stock in stores and warehouses as well keeping in view of the Ramadan, adding she said.

Barge Hina maintained that the Ramadan Subsidy will be given on almost 1,000 items of food and beverage including sugar, pulses, oil and ghee, beverages and spicy items of different companies in the holy month of Ramadan to give relief to common man those are available in different stores across the country where the government has approved 5% to 10% discount on most of the product.

Bakhtiar Khattak disclosed that USC officials are frequently visiting sale points to monitor the flow of food items and availability. They are also monitoring the performance of the USC employees, he said.
