MULTAN: Wildlife Department Multan issued 162 licenses to hunters during the current year.
According to district officer wildlife Mohammad Hussain Khan Gashkuri, the number of licenses were very high as compared to last years. He informed that the department earned revenue of over Rs 1.4 million in the head of license fee.
He further informed that the department was also working on promotion of different birds and animals in the district.
Licenses were also issued to birds and animal breeders.
He added that breeding of the Peacocks, Pheasants (Surkhab), Deer, Chukar Patridge, Alexandrine Parakeet (Speaker parrot) and some others was in progress in the district. He added that the department was offering all sorts of facilities in promotion of the birds.
