47 Revenue officers, staff faces departmental action over negligence: CS told

PESHAWAR: Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Dr Kazim Niaz Wednesday chaired a meeting of District Performance Review committee and was informed that 47 officers and officials of Revenue department were facing departmental action including dismissal from services over negligence and other charges.

The meeting attended by all the Commissioners, Administrative Secretaries and Deputy Commissioners, was informed that departmental action had been completed against 47 Revenue Officers and officials across the province over negligence during duty.

Among them 10 were penalized, 4 were dismissed from services two were suspended and increment of 3 others were stopped while show cause was issued to one.

Similarly, in Mardan 7 officials were facing departmental action and 6 in district Swabi. Four were dismissed from services, while departmental action had been initiated against two others.

Likewise in district Kohat 6 officials were facing departmental action, one was suspended and four were transferred and an increment of one official was withdrawn and inquiry against another was ordered.

In district Mansehra, one official was handed over to NAB. Two officials each in Peshawar, Charsadda, Karak, Abbottabad, DI Khan and one each official in Haripur, Tank, Shangla, Karam, Hangu and Lakki Marwat were also facing departmental action.

On the occasion the chief secretary directed strict action against the officials involved in corruption, misuse of powers and other corrupt practices and warned no leniency would be showed to them.
